Securing the free market is the key factor to guaranteeing manufacturer’s and consumer’s protection and competition law is the means required to achieve the above goals, as it prohibits any form of horizontal or vertical agreements and practices that restrict free trading and competition between companies concerning abuse of dominant position, concerted practices, creation of monopolies and other anti-competitive practices, aiming at distorting the free competition. Competition in the Greek market is protected and regulated by Law 3959/2011 “on the Protection of Free Competition” and the old Law 146/1914 on “Unfair Competition”.

Our office provides legal services to its clients and representation to them in cases of disputes or conflicts at Court proceedings in litigation for unfair competition practices and to the Greek Competition Commission on matters related to the provisions of the above laws.

Concerning the protection of intellectual and industrial property, both of them are protected under national and EU law, which offer a protected regime for intellectual property, trademarks and patents. The national legislative framework for the above rights is mainly found in laws (Law 2121/1993), (Law 4072/2012), (Law 1733/1987). At the same time, there are International and European Laws and Conventions on the wider protection of intellectual property rights and trademarks (Regulation 207/2009).
